The Diamond Compressor is a studio-quality guitar compressor pedal that does a damn fine job providing subtle compression while keeping your tone intact.
The EQ Tilt at noon will allow you to get everything from darker/beefier compressed tones, to more present compressed tones, while keeping your eq unaffected in the noon position.
Compression controls on the Diamond Compressor allows everything from an ever-so-slightly compressed boost (with the volume rolled all the way up and compression all the way down), to mild all-around compression, to country chicken-pickin’ tones.
The volume control does what you think it would.
The Diamond Compressor is the kind of compressor pedal that you can leave on all the time. When leaving it on all the time, try setting the compression level between the fully counter-clockwise position and 11:00 on the dial. Set the volume to your desired output level (note that the perceived volume will increase as you increase the compression level). With this setting, your overall volume will be leveled out with very little tonal coloration. The tone will also feel very natural.
The Diamond Compressor can also be used for compression-only effects or as a lead boost. Whether you’re looking for squashed country tones, or only mild compression and boost, this pedal can deliver it all.
