Lawsuit Guitars on eBay

The story of lawsuit guitars began in the 1970s when the newly formed Ibanez guitar company began making copies/replicas of popular, well-constructed Gibson and Fender guitars from the 1950s. The guitars were more affordable than their counterparts, and very near in quality (woods, electronics, pickups, etc.) . In the late 1970s, a group of other guitar companies (Tokai, Greco, Burny, Fernandes, etc.) began making similar replicas, many for the Japanese market.
